What is a Visitor Visa?

A Visitor Visa is a type of visa that allows an individual to visit another country for tourism, family visits, business meetings, or short-term study. This visa allows the visitor to enter and stay in the country for a specific period of time, but does not grant rights such as long-term residence, work, or full-time study.

 

Types of Visitor Visa:

 

Tourist Visa:

Must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip and must have enough blank pages.

A fully completed and signed visa application form.

• Biometric Photo:

Photographs taken in accordance with certain dimensions, usually on a white background.

• Travel Identity Card:

Details such as flight ticket reservations, travel plan, departure and return dates.

• Accommodation Information:

Hotel reservations or invitation letter from the host.

• Financial Status Document:

Evidence that you can finance your trip with documents such as bank statements, pay slips or sponsorship letters.

• Travel Health Insurance:

An insurance policy that can cover health expenses during the visit. Some countries may request a certain minimum coverage amount (for example, 30,000 Euros for the Schengen area).

• Invitation Letter (If Required):

If you are visiting family or on a business trip, an invitation letter from the inviting person.

• Visa Fee Payment Receipt:

Proof that the visa application fee has been paid.

• Work Permission Letter (If Required):

If you are employed, a letter from your employer stating that you have permission to travel.

 

Application Process:

• Visa Application: Application is usually made through the country’s embassy or consulate. Some countries may accept online applications.
• Appointment and Interview: Some countries may invite the applicant for an interview.
